Hi 👋 I'm Jurij and welcome to my workshop.

I've been building software since 2011, but after 9 years locked into a 9-5 developer job without sabbaticals, I finally transitioned back to independence in July 2024.

Now I run Varstatt — a weekly development subscription helping founders build their products without the agency hassle.

Most of my time goes to client work and own projects, some goes to reflecting on what's actually working. Writing helps me process these experiences and share the real insights.

This workshop is where those thoughts end up: the messy transition from employee to independent, how self-employment multiplies with technology, what works, what doesn't, what I'm figuring out as I go.

You'll find client case studies (when I can share them), experiments with new tools, random reflections on building software and running a service business.

I'm tired of hearing about how to do things right. This workshop is deliberately anti-right: no plan, no schedule, no format. Basically, all things that make personal writing feel good.

It's about learning in public, changing my mind when I discover something new, using writing as therapy and practice.

Everyone's welcome, and there's a seat here alongside me.
